Goto80 is one of the true masters of C64 music, active for over ten years. 2005 was an extra busy year, embarking on a massive Europe-wide summer tour and being selected Artist of the Year at the Microdisko Chip Music Awards. As icing on the cake, this long-awaited debut album was finally released!

All in all, this CD is nothing less than a summary of an extraordinary career that goes besides any conventional path of music stardom. With a lot of extra documentary on the CD data part (over 5 hours of music, videos and text), this album should be mandatory for anyone interested in chip music.

In 1993, Anders founded his own demo group together with some local data slackers – They called themselves Hack n’ Trade. Together with these boys, he rediscovered the groove of the Commodore 64 computer after some years of Amiga-computing. He franticly began collecting demos and games, and started learning the music technology of this 1982-computer. In the mid 90’s Anders took the alias Goto80 and appeared in the C64-scene in 1996.

Eventually learning the essence of C64-composing, Goto80 worked with notorious groups such as Triad, Fairlight and Booze Design, won several music competitions at Swedish C64-parties and ranked high on the music charts of the demo scene – Goto80 was now playing with the big boys!

Simultaneously, as Video game-chip-micro-blipp-blopp-bitpop-lofi-whatever-you-call-it-music started getting hyped in the late 90’s, Goto80 managed to release Papaya EP (Bleepstreet Records,2001). It was a 7″ vinyl single with four C64 tracks and was followed up by another 7″ – Bushrunner EP (Penpal Records, 2002). Both record labels are bossed by fellow Hack n’Trade members – Role model and Ant. Success followed, and after years of fine-tuning his styles this album was released.
